Project Planning

Phase 1: Proposal and Planning (Week 2 - 3)

  • Formation of team
  • Team meeting and brainstorming about the project
  • Study and experiment with the Web 2.0 applications and their development APIs.
    - Applications chosen: Google Map and Youtube API
  • Registration of Ride N Relax blog

Phase 2: Requirement and Design (Week 3 – 5)

  • Dividing tasks among group members :

    - Team Leader:
    • Communications with Lecturer
    • Coordination of Project Activities
    • Final say in decisions if the team is unable to reach a decision

    - Programming Leader:
    • Coordination of software development tasks among developers
    • Knowledge of programming language and tools

    - Quality Manager:
    • Responsible for quality in project work
    • Coordination of testing and review activities
    • Ensure that project and product quality

    - Document Manager:
    • Responsible for documentation activities
    • Coordination of document preparation and recording tasks
  • Performing Gantt Chart and other diagrams

Phase 3: Development (Week 5 – 13)

  • Project implementations and operation from all group members in completing the system
  • Analyze functional requirements and data requirements

Phase 4: Testing and Wrap Up (Week 14)

  • Test the developed applications and document.
  • Presentation to the “potential investor”

Phase 5: Documentation (Week 13-14)

  • Perform a research paper
  • Finalize the software development and documentations
